If you come to visit us, the first person you meet might be from our staff team. Or you may be welcomed by a member of our church family.
Our church family reflects the cosmopolitan character of London. We mainly live within a few miles of St Luke's.
Alistair has been our vicar for 20 years. Prior to St Luke’s, he was a curate at St Anne’s, Limehouse and studied at Cranmer Hall in Durham. He is married to Sheena and they have five children, three chickens and other animals. He is now in his sixth decade.
Tom joined St Luke’s in 2018 after training for ministry at Moore College in Sydney with his wife Hannah and their three daughters, having previously spent five years on the staff of St. Helen’s Bishopsgate. As a family they like to draw in galleries, dine in parks and dance in private. He serves particularly in the evening service and midweek growth groups.
Simon worked as an apprentice at St Luke’s from 2016-2018 and also studied part-time on the Cornhill Training Course. Simon helps oversee the youth work and is responsible for the Bible teaching of 11-18 year olds. His role also includes being the church administrator and hall hire coordinator. He is a long-suffering supporter of Tranmere Rovers FC.
Susie is studying part-time at the Cornhill Training Course having recently graduated in Maths and Modern Languages from UCL. As well as taking care of some administrative and practical tasks, she is particularly involved in our children’s work. Originally from the Kent countryside, Susie is most at home walking her dogs through the fields.
Originally from Taiwan, Shannon came to England to study IT and Education at Middlesex University & UCL respectively. When she came to St Luke’s she says her English was poor but everyone was so helpful and looked after her and her language began to blossom! Shannon loves tennis and enjoys classical music and museums. She currently helps with the busy youth and children’s programme at the church.
